Here
is the 4 minute promo for the film we are going to make.
This
feature film documentary, narrated by Sharon Stone, will track the
Young Players Ensemble for 19-weeks from casting through closing night.
The audition process begins in March 2005 at local
theaters and youth programs around the world, choosing the most dynamic
and outspoken young artists in each region who have a passion
for sharing their worldviews.
The
Young Players Ensemble is an international mobile youth theater program
that brings young people together to create and perform original theater.
A documentary film crew will follow the ensemble's groundbreaking project
Worldplay, which will bring together
16 young people from ethnically, culturally and politically divided
areas around the world, including Northern Ireland, Israel/Palestinian
areas, Syria, Shanghai/Taiwan/Tibet, India/Pakistan, South Africa,
Bosnia/Serbia/Croatia, Russia/Chechnya and the United States.
This multinational cast of young people ages 14-17 will gather to
create an original play reflecting their beliefs in an attempt to
highlight the similarities that exist despite their differences.
The cast will live together for eight weeks in Los Angeles and work
as a team to develop the play to be performed at the world's largest
theater festival in Edinburgh, Scotland.
